The City of Overland Park is seeking a talented and dedicated Supervisory Civil Engineer to lead our Streets Section in the Public Works Engineering Division. You will be planning and executing essential infrastructure maintenance programs, from streets and stormwater to bridges and sidewalks. You'll supervise and coordinate the work of professional engineers, technicians, and other related professionals, driving them to achieve excellence in every project. Your leadership will ensure our infrastructure projects meet the highest standards, maintaining compliance with city and governmental regulations. Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or a related engineering field of study. Master’s degree in engineering, public administration, or business preferred.
• Professional Engineer registration in the State of Kansas or in another state with State of Kansas registration required within one year of hiring.
• Possession of an appropriate valid driver's license. Must maintain an insurable driving record.
• Eight years of progressive civil or related engineering experience. One year in a supervisory management position or additional years experience in civil engineering or engineering education.

No City residency requirement.

Must successfully pass a background check, drug screen, physical exam and essential functions test.

Normal Work Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., Mon.-Fri.

Salary Range: Grade K $97,289.93 - $136,205.08/year
