Clay County, Missouri has a fantastic opportunity for someone with a successful track record with long-range planning and implementation of network security projects as our new Network Security Manager. This is a highly responsible position that works independently with general oversight and planning to ensure the operation, security, and maintenance of Clay County’s information technology network security tools and communication infrastructure. The Network Security Manager will advise senior management on technology and related contractual, security, and compliance issues. This individual will also provide work with outside agencies on technical trends and improvements, prepare budget estimates, and assist in the development of departmental objectives.

The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor’s degree in cyber security, computer science, information technology, five years of increasingly responsible related high level IT management experience, or a combination of education, training and experience that demonstrates the ability to meet all responsibilities. The candidate will also hold a valid driver’s license. The candidate should also have a thorough knowledge of information technology, recent trends, and best practices. As well as knowledge of legal requirements, regulations, and laws applicable to area of assignment.

The employee will receive a yearly salary of $74,624 - $83,950, dependent on experience, with a benefits package which includes two defined benefit retirement plans fully funded by the County and a deferred-compensation plan with a match on the first 4% contributed. We also offer three medical plans including two high deductible plans, dental, vision, two flexible spending accounts, and supplemental plans. Full-time employees are also offered life insurance (2X annual salary) paid by the County, paid vacation/sick leave, 14 paid holidays, LTD and tuition reimbursement.
