The City of Raymore, Missouri is looking for a highly skilled and motivated Assistant City Engineer to direct and manage all professional engineering efforts related to the planning, design, and maintenance of our city infrastructure and utilities. Key Responsibilities:

_{Oversee and manage the City's Capital Improvement Plan (CIP), from project prioritization to construction.}

_{Supervise and evaluate assigned staff, ensuring seamless coordination of daily work activities, technical assistance, and quality control.}

_{Review and approve development plans, ensuring compliance with city ordinances and construction standards.}

_{Research, plan, and coordinate engineering projects, managing everything from design to budgets and schedules.}

_{Serve as the city’s representative in meetings with developers, consultants, and other agencies, providing expert insight into public works and infrastructure projects.}

_{Provide technical assistance to the public, contractors, and developers regarding stormwater management, ordinances, and other engineering concerns.}

_{Prepare reports, budgets, evaluations, and engineering documents while staying up-to-date on regulations and industry trends.}

Qualifications:

_{Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Construction Science Management or a related field.}

_{3+ years of progressively responsible experience in civil engineering or construction management.}

_{Proficiency in managing data, people, equipment, and budgets.}

_{Strong leadership and problem-solving skills, with the ability to function in both technical and managerial capacities.}
