SUPERVISOR: Director
SUPERVISES: Senior Technician, I.T. Technician
PERCENTAGE OF TIME and ACCOUNTABILITIES:
5% Personnel: evaluation, interviews, performance monitoring
10% Asset Management
10% Staff scheduling, meetings, help desk, etc.
20% Budget management: purchase orders, consolidation, reports
55% Server and network administration
SCOPE:
Assists in policy creation, integration and enforcement. Performs evaluations and makes recommendations regarding personnel issues. Documents, maintains and generates reports on departmental budget. Creates software solutions, spreadsheets, databases, presentations and office correspondence. Performs administrative tasks for servers to include user management, backup procedures, software updates. Manages asset management program for inventory, replacement schedules and asset tracking. Provides reports to the Director on all aspects of the Information Systems Department. Represents the Director in his/her absence.

- Microsoft Windows Server and Active Directory environment *
- VMWare administration *
- Veeam Backup administration *
- Microsoft Exchange administration *
- Departmental policies and procedures.

- Ability to accurately, timely, and logically understand analysis, solutions, and implementation of new or revised programs and hardware. *

ILLUSTRATIVE TASKS (This is not an inclusive list; other tasks/duties may be assigned.)
- Daily monitoring of IT infrastructure
- Monthly reconciliation of budget.
- Generate and track purchase orders.
- Administration of servers, including updates and security patches.
- Develop and document solutions.
ENVIRONMENTAL DEMANDS
Work is performed in office environments. Exposed to outdoor elements when going from building to building.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Any combination of education and experience equivalent to a degree in Information Systems or a closely related field and five years of experience in a technology field with at least three years in a supervisory position. Also refer to the asterisks in the KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS section of this job description. Extended work experience in a related position will be taken into account.

1. Vision: Requires acceptable vision for computer usage, working on computer components, and reading product manuals.
2. Hearing: Must be adequate for normal conversation and telephone usage. Extensive user, vendor and staff contact is required.
3. Speech: Must be able to speak clearly. Communications with staff, users and vendors is essential in this position.
4. Standing: 45 % of the time – To work on equipment and conduct demonstrations.
5. Walking: 15% of the time – To go to departments to deliver equipment and to work on computer hardware and software.
6. Sitting: 40% of the time – While operating computers, working on computer hardware and software, reading product manuals, completing reports, etc.
7. Lifting/Carrying: 50 lbs. - Computers, monitors, printers and other computer-related equipment.
8. Pushing/Pulling: 50 lbs. - Computers, monitors, printers and other computer-related equipment.
9. Climbing/Balancing: In the delivery of equipment or to provide service, it may be necessary to ascend or descend stairs.
10. Stooping/Kneeling/Crouching/Crawling: Necessary when working on computers-related equipment or network components in most locations.
11. Reaching/Handling: When working with computer-related equipment and network components.
