The Mid-America Green Stormwater Infrastructure (GSI) Certification Program is designed for GSI maintenance professionals, defined as a person or company that maintains green stormwater infrastructure as part of construction projects and in retrofit projects to reduce stormwater runoff.
The purpose of this certification is to verify the skills and knowledge of GSI maintenance professionals that will be hired to maintain these facilities, and to increase the long-term success of stormwater management in the Kansas City region.

How the certification program works:
The Mid-America GSI Maintenance certification is offered as an online, self-paced training through Mid-America Regional Council's Government Training Institute. The training will take approximately 3-4 hours to complete.
Once an individual has entered their information below, they will receive their credentials to access the online training platform within two business days. Individuals are recommended to register below when they can plan to complete the training several days after registering. When the training is complete, certified individuals will receive verification of certification and an electronic certificate within two business days of completion.
To maintain the Mid-America GSI Maintenance certification, all certified individuals are required to recertify every three years by retaking the certification training.
