PER 335: Critical Decision Making for Complex Coordinated Attacks (CCA)The PER335 course is a 16-hour in-person class that addresses the vulnerability of any community to a public safety situation, such as an active shooter at a shopping mall; a train derailment with hazardous chemicals; a bombing incident at a commercial district; a plane crash; or chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, or explosive attack. These complex coordinated attacks involve multiple threats that often exceed conventional response tactics. The attacks require a joint response involving members from varying disciplines and jurisdictions.Practical exercises allow participants to interact with responders from other disciplines to effectively address a variety of complex coordinated attack scenarios. Participants will work together to identify critical considerations, command strategies through collaborative decision-making.Target Audience: This course is designed for emergency responders including those who are most likely to assume command at some point during a response to a complex coordinated attack. Law Enforcement, Fire service including engineers, firefighters, battalion chiefs, captains, dispatch supervisors, EMS to include dispatch supervisors. Personnel from emergency management, medical care facilities, public health, other governmental departments or agencies. Private sector who may be involved in the response to CCA or who might assist public safety responders.Priority Registration for this course is reserved for individuals located in Greater Kansas City region: Johnson, Leavenworth, and Wyandotte in Kansas; and Cass, Clay, Jackson, Platte, and Ray in Missouri.Unfortunately, we are unable to accept registrations from outside the KC metropolitan service area at this time. Travel costs are not provided.
