This virtual event will feature panelists with expertise in leveraging municipal or philanthropic resources to implement successful social connection programming on the neighborhood level.
Workshop Panelists:
Megan Ginn, CommunityWorks (Holland, Michigan)
CommunityWorks unlocks the human and economic potential of neighborhoods through asset-based, relationship-driven practices. Through tailored training, coaching and practical tools, they equip residents and local leaders with the principles of Asset-Based Community Development (ABCD) to drive transformation from the inside out. Their work strengthens the conditions that allow individuals and families to thrive. They also bring together leaders from across the country to collaborate, share innovations and reimagine what’s possible for flourishing neighborhoods. comm-works.org

Réna Bradley and Kevin Cobb (Fort Wayne, Indiana)
The FORT-ify Neighborhood Accelerator was designed by the Fort Wayne’s Department of Neighborhoods for neighborhood leaders who want to take their efforts to the next level by 1) building their knowledge and skill sets in key areas, 2) obtaining access to mentoring and support from city staff, and 3) working alongside other neighborhood associations. Accelerator participants will take part in monthly in-person workshops, work with city staff to develop a Quick Action Plan and complete hands-on activities between workshop sessions to put what they’re learning into practice in their neighborhoods. https://engage.cityoffortwayne.org/fortify
