Climate Pollution Reduction Grant Webinar

In 2023, the EPA’s Climate Pollution Reduction Grants (CPRG) program provided $5 billion in grants to states, local governments, tribes and territories to develop and implement ambitious plans for reducing greenhouse gas emissions and other harmful air pollution. Authorized under Section 60114 of the Inflation Reduction Act, this two-phase program provided $250 million for noncompetitive planning grants, and will provide approximately $4.6 billion for competitive implementation grants. 

MARC will submit an EPA Climate Pollution Reduction implementation grant application to support advancement of the Priority Climate Action Plan. During this webinar, participants will review and provide feedback on a draft application

The MARC Environment team will host a webinar to share detailed elements of the Priority Climate Action Plan (PCAP). During the webinar, staff will be prepared to answer questions and welcome any feedback.

The PCAP is a critical prerequisite element to the region’s EPA Climate Pollution Reduction Implementation Grant that is due April 1, 2024. While the PCAP is more general in nature, the elements in the PCAP will largely mirror the contents of the grant. The PCAP is due March 1, 2024.
